Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts Legacy - Next-Gen Immersion Trailer - IGN

Fans of the Harry Potter universe have definitely had some great games over the years to give them a tantalizing taste of what it would be like to be a real wizard; however, so far none have been able to provide the complete magical experience that the films and books treated us to.

Finally, the wait is over, and it looks like Potterheads are about to get the wizarding game they truly deserve. Hogwarts Legacy has it all: a vast open world, broomstick riding, epic clashes with various dangerous creatures. If you’ve ever wanted to truly experience what it’s like to be a wizard, this is your chance!

Atomic Heart

Surreal Soviet shooter Atomic Heart release set for February | Eurogamer.net

What happens if you take a big dollop of Bioshock, mix it with a sizeable helping of Fallout, and drench the whole thing in a thick coating of neo-Soviet cyberpunk sci-fi? You get Atomic Heart, that’s what.

This unique shooter sets you loose in an alternative Soviet Union, where robots were developed back in the 40’s to help the country rebuild after WWII. By the 1950s, the robots are so advanced that they decide to seize control in a bloody revolution, and that’s where our cyber-enhanced hero comes in. We can’t wait to discover all the twists and turns of this refreshing setting and story, as well as get down to some brutal robot slaying.

Star Wars: Jedi Survivor

The Force Is Strong With The New Star Wars: Jedi Surivor Trailer - Game Informer

While there has been an endless slew of Star Wars games getting churned out pretty much since the release of A New Hope (1977), the good ones have been somewhat few and far between. That’s why 2015’s Jedi: Fallen Order was such a huge hit, and it’s why we’re more hyped for the upcoming Jedi: Survivor than a Jawa finding a lonely robot in the Jundland Wastes.

With more liquid swordplay and a continuation of Cal Kestis’ epic story, plus new features like riding animals, a blaster (so uncivilized), and even a cheeky bit of facial hair, Jedi Survivor looks set to blow our cloaks off all over again. This is the Star Wars game you’re looking for…

Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom | Nintendo Switch games | Games | Nintendo

Sticking loyally to the “__ of the __” title formula comes the follow-up to 2017’s stunning masterpiece Breath of the Wild, a game almost universally hailed as one of the best pieces of software ever to grace a console.

The sequel sees Link taking to the skies in an even more massive open world, with plenty of new features to mix up the action in the gorgeous and immersive land of Hyrule. You can now glide, skydive, engage your foes in aerial combat, and use Link’s mysterious new green arm to do… well, we don’t know just yet.

Starfield

Here's an extended first look at Bethesda's Starfield | Eurogamer.net

We’d all love another Fallout or a new addition to the Elder Scrolls saga, but what could be just as exciting? A whole new universe to explore from Bethesda! Rather than restricting your immersive adventure to a fantasy kingdom or a post-apocalyptic wasteland, Starfield sets you loose in the vastness of space.

As you explore the colonized expanses of the Milky Way, you get to fly your own customizable spaceship, explore a huge range of different planets, engage a whole host of extra-terrestrial creatures in combat, and immerse yourself in another absorbing story, this time involving you in a galactic civil war.

Dead Island 2

Dead Island 2 Gets a Release Date and Trailer After 8 Years

After years in development Hell, the sequel to 2011’s first-person zombie-killing gem Dead Island is finally on its way. Taking us to the streets of LA, Dead Island 2 promises to bring more of the brutal hack n’ slash action of the first game, this time in glorious next-gen graphics and with a brimming new arsenal of over-the-top weaponry you can use to dispatch the undead of the City of Angels.

You also get to interact with a whole host of wacky characters as you fight off your own infection. Yes, that’s right, this time around your character has already been bitten, which means you can tap into your own zombie powers and give those braindead bozos a taste of their own scratchy, bite-y, crazy medicine.
