Strap yourself in for a weekend full of sport from Ferrari, heavyweights to League of Legends.

Formula 1 Emilia Romagna GP

The crowds finally return to the Imola circuit this weekend, a track whose official name is the rather longer Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari. Recognise a certain name in there? Yes, the track is named after Ferrari’s founder himself and there is no doubt the Tifosi will be pouring into their home stadium to see if their team can build on their initial successful push for the drivers’ and constructors’ championships. Charles Leclerc is heading into the Emilia Romagna GP for Ferrari in pole position with 71 out of a possible 78 points after topping the podium in two out of the previous 3 races. Leclerec is an odds-on favourite to give the Tifosi a reason to celebrate, especially as the struggles of his close rivals may continue to cast a shadow over their races.

The previous two winners of the Emilia Romagna GP were the two men whose rivalry dominated last year’s gripping F1 Championship, Hamilton and Verstappen. However, they are currently standing at fifth and sixth in the standings. George Russel of Mercedes is now Leclerc’s closest competition in second place, 34 points behind.

Red Bull's cars have proven to be as reliable as a clapped-out as a Lancia Beta so far this season, with Verstappen being forced to retire in both Bahrain and Australia, with only his excellent point topping performance at Abu Dhabi keeping him in the top ten. Before having to pull out, Verstappen was in a good position in both races so if his car wants to play ball then Verstappen will be hoping to show he still has what it takes to be a champion.

Verstappen’s mechanical worries are also shared by Hamilton who has voiced his dissatisfaction with Mercedes about his W13 car’s performance, but it doesn’t look there is a quick fix on the horizon coming for its time on the Imola circuit and Hamilton is only looking to be fifth or sixth favourite with the bookmakers.

Tyson Fury v Dillian Whyte

This Saturday the Gypsy King will face off against fellow British Boxer Dillian Whyte in order to claim the WBC heavyweight title. Tyson Fury has become one of the biggest names in Boxing in recent years and fans have sold out the iconic Wembley stadium in London, hungry to see this epic showdown. Nearly all eyes will be on the current reigning champion and bookmaker’s favourite Tyson Fury. After Whyte failed to show up to the match’s press conference, he was left defenceless against the harsh words of Fury who made his confidence in winning the fight clear.

We will have to wait and see if Whyte puts up a better defence in the ring but no matter what happens, one thing’s for sure, we’re in for a thrilling spectacle. The crowd will be screaming Fury on to see him cement his legend status, but an underdog upset will also create a night to remember and Whyte (literally) won’t go down without a fight.

LCS 2022 Spring

Ladies and gentlemen! Boys and girls…and the millions of League of Legends fans around the world! Let’s get ready to rumble this weekend as LCS 2022 Spring is drawing to a thrilling conclusion that sees Team Liquid take on Evil Geniuses in order to earn their place in the Grande Finale. What’s more, with a whopping $100,000, as well as silverware, up for grabs in the final this is one crunch, best-of-5 match where both teams will be extremely eager to emerge victorious.

Of the two teams, Team Liquid look like strong favourites heading into this tie and they will no doubt fancy their chances of coming out on top here. Having started 2022 in style by cruising to victory in the LCS Lock-in 2022 tournament, Liquid have been in impressive form at LCS Spring 2022 after sailing through the group stage. What’s more, they also arguably have the upper hand psychologically over their opponents after scoring 4 wins in the last 5 meetings between the sides (3 of which were from this tournament and 2 from LCS Lock-in 2022).

That being said, victory is by no means a foregone conclusion for Team Liquid on this occasion. After all, they did succumb to a narrow loss to 100 Thieves in their last match and Evil Geniuses aren’t exactly in bad shape themselves, having bounced back from their recent 3-2 defeat to, you’ve guessed it, Team Liquid, with comfortable back-to-back wins over FlyQuest and Cloud 9. Moreover, given their somewhat dismal head-to-head record against their forthcoming opponents, Evil Geniuses will be champing at the bit to put the curse to bed and finally pick up a win against their opponents in dramatic fashion.

Will they succeed or will they slip to defeat yet again?
